A small problem with the iPhone 4 Home button

What I will explain below is part of the "personal experiences" category, so it is possible that many of you do not have this problem and have never encountered it with an iPhone. I have owned an iPhone 4 for over 2 months and using it over time I noticed a small problem with the home button. The problem is that this button sometimes makes the wrong contact with the motherboard, that is, sometimes when I press it, it does not register just one press, but two, and instead of closing an application, it opens the menu with applications open in the background. I never double tap and sometimes it's enough to tap once very lightly on it to double tap by myself. I have encountered this problem many times and on the iPhone 3GS I cannot reproduce it at all.

I don't know if Apple made the Home button more sensitive on the iPhone 4, but it's very annoying sometimes to press the button once and it double taps. I had the problem on iOS 4.0.1/4.1, so I don't know if it's necessarily related to iOS or if it's something hardware. In fact, the iPhone 4 seems to have so many problems that it's hard to tell if something is hardware or software.

Have you encountered this problem when using your terminal?
