In the latest advertising spot released by Apple, the focus is on battery life and how many great things can be done on an iPhone 4, but is Apple still right? Yes, it's true that the iPhone 4 has the largest battery of all iPhone models and yes, it's true that it has better autonomy than many other smartphones, but should Apple promote this in its videos? I would say yes, because the iPhone 4 (without jailbreak) has a very good battery life for a smartphone, especially given that it has a very high resolution screen and is much thinner than most smartphones on the market .
With a jailbroken iPhone 4, you can get around 6 hours of intense usage: Wi-Fi, 3G, games, gaming, FaceTime, etc., and that means a lot for an iPhone. If you remove the jailbreak from the equation, then the autonomy is even greater, with probably 30-60 minutes more usage. When it comes to stand by, you can leave the phone on the table for almost two weeks and I think you will still find it with 2-3% available from the battery. I, for one, am very satisfied with the autonomy of the iPhone 4 terminal and I only hope that Apple makes a similar leap with the future iPhone model.
