The iPad tablet offered for free in Japan, iPad 2 is on the way

Did you think that the Black Friday discounts were the only ones for the iPad tablet? Well, think again! The Softbank operator from Japan did a promotion hard to refuse for its own customers, and not only that, offering the iPad tablet for free upon signing a 2-year internet contract that costs $56 per month. Looking at the long term, a customer ends up paying almost double the price of the iPad tablet, but let's not forget that the internet subscription is also included in this price. The Japanese operator is the first in the world to offer a free iPad tablet at the end of a subscription and it might not be the only one, because in the near future other operators will introduce the iPad tablet in their offer.

On another note, it seems that Apple a ENDED a contract regarding the supply of lenses for the camera to be implemented in the future model of the iPad tablet. The company Largan Precision, which produces the lenses for the iPhone 4 camera, seems to have been chosen to produce the components of the iPad 2 tablet, the delivery of which should begin in the first half of next year. So, now all that remains is to see what exactly Apple will present to us in January.

Largan Precision has declined to comment on market rumors indicating the company will be the sole lens module supplier for Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),'s upcoming iPad 2 tablet with shipments to kick off in the first quarter of 2011, according to a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).

Largan reportedly also supplies 5-megapixel lens modules for iPhone 4.
