Apple will improve MobileMe in 2011

MobileMe, a service made by Apple for users of Apple products, a service with which users can save their data, contacts, pictures, e-mails on Apple's servers, data that can then be accessed using any Mac or iDevice. Apple offers a whole suite of services and asks $99 per year from each user, a small amount for some and a large amount for others, but this is perhaps the mistake of those from Apple who ask for the full payment of the service for an entire year instead of staggered payments for shorter periods.

Anyway, MobileMe was a main source of frustration for many users who found that the services offered by Apple do not always work as well. Recently, the company decided to offer the Find My iPhone service free of charge to all iDevice owners who have iOS 4.2.1 installed, and this decision did not go down well with many customers who until now have paid for this option. Anyway, upset with the way MobileMe works, a customer takes SENT an e-mail to Steve Jobs to "tell his opinion" and this is what the CEO of Apple replied:

Question: I love my iPad and iPhone4 and I am a huge fan of yours and all that Apple does. I desperately want to stay inside Apple's ecosystem as much as possible.

However, MobileMe is making it very difficult for me to do so. Unreliable/unpredictable syncing, creating duplicate entries (sometimes scores of them), etc. It's almost unusable.

And I know from forums (including Apple's own support boards) that I am not the only one experiencing these very real and frustrating problems.

Please tell me it will get better, and soon?

Answer: Yes, it will get a lot better in 2011.

Dry, short and to the point, but it's something to watch in the future because it comes from Steve Jobs and his responses to e-mails echo in future products. I, for one, do not use the MobileMe service because at the moment I cannot find its use. I know some of you use it, what would you like to see improved on it?
