Find My Mac implemented in Mac OS X Lion?

Find My iPhone is a free service through which iPhone/iPad users can locate their own device on the map using the GPS integrated in the terminal and an Internet connection if needed. This service has been successfully used so far by the American police to recover some stolen devices and in the USA it is very successful. In Mac OS X Lion, which was released for developers a few days ago, there were discovery some files that indicate that Apple is preparing a service called Find My Mac, but for now it is not known how exactly Apple will implement it nor the reasons why it would like to do such a thing.

Maybe Apple wants to give MacBook owners the ability to locate it on the map if it's been stolen, or maybe to delete the entire content or if they've been dispossessed of it. It is unclear for now what exactly Apple wants to do with this function, but there are references about it in Mac OS X Lion, so Apple engineers are testing it and it is possible to see it when it is implemented in the operating system.
