Apple has officially announced that the iPad 2 will be available in Apple stores in the US starting on March 11, 2011, without specifying whether there will be a round of pre-orders. Unfortunately, Americans once again have the privilege of being able to purchase an iDevice a few weeks before the rest of the world because Apple will launch the iPad 2 internationally only 2 weeks later, on March 25. Many of the Apple stores in the European Union countries will have the iPad 2 available in stock starting March 25, including Hungary, so if you live in the northwest of the country you can cross the border and go buy one.
In Romania, it is not known if the iPad 2 will ever reach one of the mobile phone operators, but it will definitely reach the online stores, but be prepared for steep prices, exactly like those last summer when the iPhone 4 was launched.
