Cydia and built-in multitasking

Cydia Logo

Cydia 1.1.1 has been available for a few days and in the new application you will find many new elements implemented by saurik. Among them you find a kind of semi-multitasking specially made for the application used by hundreds of thousands of people daily. saurik explained that he cannot implement multitasking in Cydia because such a system would be difficult to implement now, but in Cydia 1.1.1 we find a workaround for the problem with multitasking. Now when we navigate through Cydia and exit the application, upon re-entry we will not have to start from the beginning everything we were doing, but the application returns us to the previous menu after a few seconds of loading.

It's not multitasking in the true sense of the word, but it's a start and probably saurik will eventually find a way to implement multitasking for our iDevices, but until then we'll have to make do with what we have. I for one am happy that he implemented at least that much because now I will be able to resume work without looking for the tweak or the application I was looking at before exiting Cydia.
