Apple is working on the production of an external battery incorporated in the charger for Mac or iDevices

What you see above is a sketch of one invention patent registered to the Apple company in which it is explained how a battery could be implemented in a charger for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and MacBook. Apple knows that there are other similar accessories on its market, as in the company's patent it describes how a socket charger can be produced with a built-in battery but also with a special integrated chip. This chip would share the power drawn from the socket to the battery integrated in the charger and the battery of the iDevice/Mac for the most efficient charging of both batteries.

"Such external batteries are generally cumbersome to use, at least because they must be unpacked for use and then repacked for storage," Apple's filing states of current options available on the market. "In addition, many users forget to bring the external battery in addition to the adapter while in transit.

"What is needed is a way to combine a power adapter and a battery so that a user does not have to carry an additional battery while traveling with a portable electronic device."

There are many such accessories on the market and one more from Apple would not change things much. However, when Apple thinks of making a product, it makes it as attractive as possible, although in reality it offers approximately the same functionality as others in the same category. I imagine that such a charger that would have enough energy to charge a MacBook but also an iDevices would cost quite a lot, so it will be interesting to see something Apple releases in a few years.
