What you need to know when you take an Apple product for warranty to a service in Romania

Yesterday we discussed the warranty of the iPad 2 tablet and how it can be solved at the services authorized by Apple in Romania, so today I thought I would extend the discussion to any product of the Apple company. I contacted the service department of Noumax and iStyle yesterday, I received a reply from them and I thank them, and now I will explain to you what are the conditions for granting a warranty in Romania for an Apple product bought abroad. First of all, we are talking about the possibility of bringing a product under warranty and here Noumax excels because it receives any Apple product, but at iStyle only a limited series of products are received and below is their list:

  • Apple computer systems and accessories (all models of laptops, desktop computers, monitors and all accessories)
  • iPod (any model)
  • iPad (excluding iPad 2)
  • iPhone (any model that was purchased from the European Union, excluding models purchased from resellers in Romania other than iStyle or from mobile phone operators in Romania)

So at iStyle iPad 2 does not benefit from the warranty, and as far as the iPhone terminals are concerned, only those bought in the EU can be received under warranty. Regarding the documents required for granting the guarantee, Noumax again has a much more relaxed policy, checking the product only based on the series, but at iStyle you need a receipt, invoice, etc. to be granted the guarantee. In conclusion, in Romania you are covered by the Apple warranty for any product bought anywhere, but it would be ideal to keep the purchase receipt or invoice.
