Apple is suing Samsung over its Galaxy tablets and smartphones

Last year, Samsung Galaxy S was by far the most significant competitor of the iPhone 3GS terminal, failing to surpass it in sales but managing to stand out in front of the other high-end Android smartphones. After the Samsung Galaxy S, various low-end versions of the terminal appeared, plus a Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet that was supposed to be an iPad killer. Unfortunately, none of these products lived up to the standards of iDevices, but for Apple they were like "a thorn in the side". In this "spirit" Apple is suing Samsung because of the Galaxy series, more precisely accusing the company of copying the design and elements of the iOS interface in the terminals; Galaxy S, Nexus S, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy S 4G and Epic 4G.

Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple's technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products, the lawsuit said.

The information comes from the publication The Wall Street Journal so it is as believable as possible, but it is more than unexpected. Apple buys from Samsung: SSDs for MacBook Air and certain components for iDevices and this process could lead to a break between the 2 companies. Looking at things objectively, everyone knows that the Samsung Galaxy S was inspired by the iPhone 3GS terminal, but I don't know what to say about the Galaxy Tab or Nexus S. Apple is clearly pushing the mark and I don't think it will win the case in any court in this world, but in the end it aims to maintain its leading position on the tablet market.
