Apple could reprogram iPhone cards

From the series of patents that probably will not see the light of day, today we are talking about one that would allow Apple to reschedule the cards of our iPhones from a distance. The patent describes a method that would make life easier for those who travel abroad quite often and would need a decoded terminal. The method described by Apple would allow configuring a SIM card to work with any operator without actually needing the terminal to be sent to Apple or operator for decoding.

Apple could decode the terminal from its own servers at the simple request of the client whenever he wants and without the prior consent of the mobile phone operator. I don't think that the operators will ever agree with such a system, but as an idea it is extremely useful.
