Is Apple blocking iTunes access to Saurik's servers?

A rather important but still unconfirmed rumor has started to gain "voice" on the Internet and it has the Apple company, iTunes and Saurik's SHSH servers in the foreground. For a few days some people have been having problems connecting to saurik's servers to use a SHSH from there to restore to an old version of iOS. Some claim that this problem is actually related to Apple, which would have blocked access from iTunes to Saurik's server, thereby blocking the possibility of using that server to restore to an old version of iOS.

As I already said, the rumor is unconfirmed, saurik has not declared anything about this and it is very possible that everything has to do with some functionality problems of saurik's server. If Apple would still try to block access to this server, ways would be found quite quickly to remove the limits imposed by the company. For now, I recommend that you do not restore to old versions of iOS except through TinyUmbrella.

UPDATED: According to chpwn, Apple blocked the access of the Amazon servers (where saurik's is also hosted) to the gs.apple.com servers where the SHSHs are obtained.

UPDATE 2: The problem was related to the way saurik's server saved the SHSHs, basically something was blocked somewhere, Apple had nothing to do with the problem.
