Apple has big problems with deliveries of iPad 2 tablets

In the first 3 months of this year, Apple sold 4.7 million iPad/iPad 2 tablets, a rather small number in the opinion of some who expected Apple to announce over 6 million units sold. Unfortunately, the situation is different and the current CFO of Apple a announced during the conference on Wednesday for the presentation of the financial results for Q2 2011 that Apple has problems with producing a sufficient number of tablets to cover the demand on the market. Tim Cook said that Apple would have liked to sell twice as many iPad 2 tablets, but unfortunately it cannot produce enough tablets to cover the demand.

Some analysts estimated that Apple will sell no less than 44 million iPad 2 tablets in 2011, but as things stand, Apple will not reach that figure. Recently, the number was lowered to 40 million units, but I think that this number is also exaggerated because the company will not be able to cover the demand too soon. This is the second year in which Apple announces that it cannot cover the demand on the market and we can only ask ourselves why Apple does not take measures to produce enough of many products knowing that the demand is very high. Until then, the iPad 2 tablets are delivered in 1-2 weeks after placing an online order and the tablet is quite hard to find in stores.
