iPhone 5 could have a curved screen

We still don't know when the iPhone 5 will be presented to the whole world, but today we learn that Apple is thinking of implementing a curved screen in the future iPhone. In the image above we have the Google Nexus S terminal that has such a screen and it seems that Apple is thinking of implementing a similar one. According to those from DigiTimes, Apple would have bought around 2-300 machines that cut glass in various shapes and stored them at its partners in Asia. Apple bought the machines because its partners did not want to invest in such technology for the time being considering that there are few phones on the market that use it.

There has been a fair amount of buzz on the iPhone 5, and the latest being circulated around the supply chain in Taiwan is that Apple is going to adopt a curved cover glass for its next generation model, according to industry sources. Cover glass makers are reluctant to commit investment to the purchase of glass cutting equipment due to the high capital involved, said the sources. However, in order to push forward the production of curved glass, Apple has reportedly purchased 200-300 glass cutting machines to be used by glass makers, said the sources. The glass slicing machines are currently being stored at associated assembly plants and will be brought online once yield rates for the production of curved glass reaches a satisfactory level, the sources revealed.

iPhone with a curved screen, can you imagine such a thing? Apple used a curved screen in an old iPod Nano model, but how would it look in an iPhone? It doesn't seem like a move that Apple could make regarding the iPhone. The rumor comes to contradict the recent information that indicated that the future iPhone will represent a minor upgrade compared to the current model, that is, nothing on the design side, but only on the hardware side. I don't know what an iPhone with a curved screen would look like, but I don't seem to "attract" the idea that much. What do you think?
