iCloud - what do you expect from it and how much would you pay for the service?

Apple received the iCloud.com domain, submitted an application for name registration as a brand in Europe, now we just have to see how exactly iCloud will work. Lately they have appeared innumerable rumors regarding the possible functions of iCloud, but few of them come close to the truth. I, for one, expect Apple to completely replace MobileMe with the new iCloud and to add the audio streaming function plus a file locker or a service that allows files to be stored in a secure environment. I don't think that Apple will change the MobileMe concept very much, but will definitely improve it to attract a new series of customers.

I expect the price for using iCloud to be lower than that for MobileMe, but I also expect a free version with few functions for users. I expect to receive a few GB of free space on Apple's servers where we can upload our pictures or any other documents, but nothing more. There are so many services that offer free space on the web and if Apple implemented such a function in iOS and Mac OS X it would attract a lot of customers who would forget the name Dropbox in a second if the option offered by Apple is viable. In addition to a free and limited version of iCloud, I also expect one that offers us all the available options, but which would cost around $59 per year or maybe less. I don't think that Apple will maintain the current price of MobileMe, which is quite high and does not attract as many customers as the company would like.

I, for one, would be tempted to pay $59 annually for such a service if it were fully integrated into iOS. I'm not a big "fan" of uploading documents and pictures on the web or streaming, but at this price I could try the alternative offered by Apple, but only if it were something completely integrated in iOS.
