After almost a year of waiting, Apple finally released the white version of the iPhone 4 this spring at the same price as the black version. In all Apple stores, the white and black versions of the iPhone 4 are available at the same price, but in Romania the white version is at least €100 more expensive in online stores. I looked at about 5 of the biggest online stores in Romania and that's all eMAG si koyos.ro they have it at prices lower than 3000 lei, koyos even having a substantial discount. In general, the white iPhone 4 is available at prices between 3100 and 3500 lei, depending on the store where you are looking for it, and here we are of course only talking about the 16 Gb version.
I don't know how many people waited for the white version of the iPhone 4, but I doubt it, because there are many Romanians who didn't get the iPhone 4 until the spring and they really don't understand this pricing policy. The device is sold by Apple at the same price as the black version, there are no problems with stocks, so I don't really see why there would be such a big difference between the prices of the 2 terminals. I don't know how much demand there is for the white iPhone 4 in Romania, but I doubt that it is high enough to justify such price discrepancies.
