Vodafone launches iPad 2 in Romania, signs partnerships with iStyle and eMag

In a press release published today, Vodafone announced the launch of mobile data tariff plans for the iPad 2 tablet. We are of course talking about the 3G model, the only one capable of connecting to the Internet using a mobile operator's data connection. The tariff plans offered by Vodafone are available without a subscription, so we are talking about prepaid plans that can be activated/deactivated at any time. Additional information about these tariff plans should be available at https://www.vodafone.ro/ipad/ which is currently not working.

Vodafone has concluded a partnership with iStyle and eMAG regarding the sale of iPad 2 and any tablets bought from these 2 stores will be able to benefit from data connections offered by Vodafone probably by purchasing a card. I will give you more details when the dedicated iPad page on the Vodafone website is up and running.

UPDATED: There it is exclusively the new Vodafone tariff plan.

The big news is that Vodafone will launch the iPad 2 in Romania before Orange.

Bucharest, Romania, June 23, 2011 - Vodafone offers, starting from June 24, dedicated mobile data tariff plans for iPad 2 with WiFi and 3G, in Romania. Dedicated data plans will be available without a subscription, allowing users to activate or deactivate them at any time.

In addition to the dedicated offer for iPad, customers can opt for any of the Mobile Internet offers from Vodafone's portfolio. In the future, until July 31, Vodafone customers benefit from a double traffic promotion both for Mobile Internet subscriptions and in the case of the Vodafone Internet Card options.

iPad 2 with WiFi and 3G will be sold through Vodafone partners iStyle and eMag, and the activation of Vodafone services will be possible in the entire Vodafone network and in the stores of our partners.
