iOS 5 beta 5 expires in September

Last night Apple released iOS beta 5 5 exactly 2 months after the release of the first beta version presented at WWDC 2011 by Scot Forstall. This recent beta version of the operating system for iDevices expires on September 14, 2 weeks away from the expiration date of iOS beta 5 4. It was normal for Apple to extend the validity period of iOS 5 beta since the conference for the presentation of the new operating system would take place in September and the final iOS 5 could only be released in the middle of the month.

The expiration date of iOS 5 beta 5 is not an indicator regarding the release of the operating system, so do not take it as a reference point, but this does not mean that Apple will not release iOS 5 during that period. If iOS 5 beta6 will be released on August 17 then its validity period will probably be extended until the end of September and that beta version could be the last released before the GM version.
