Video: iStartupMovie allows adding a video clip to iOS startup

iStartupMovie is a new tweak released last night in Cydia that allows iDevice owners to set a short movie to play when their terminal starts up after a reset/shutdown. The movie runs right before we have access to iOS, so it doesn't work like a boot logo, and it doesn't even appear until the operating system starts, so you have to boot into the system before seeing it. The worst part is that running this video clip makes it difficult to start the terminal and the running cannot be stopped so we have to wait until the movie ends.

The good part of iStartupMovie is that it allows setting any movie downloaded by us by copying it to var/mobile/library/startupmovies. The tweak is free and you can install it from Cydia following this link. I recommend you take a look at the fish iStartupSound made by the same developer.

Play a movie when springboard has finished loading! Like iStartupSound, only better!

You can put a video of your favorite music clip or a video of your cat.

After the video has finished playing, it will take you straight to the springboard.

Put your .mov/.m4v files in /var/mobile/Library/StartupMovies.

Use iStartupMovie Manager app to choose them.
