iOS 5 and possible release date

September has arrived and you are probably wondering when Apple plans to release the final version of iOS 5. The past few days iOS 5 beta 7 has been released for developers of iOS applications, but unfortunately it did not bring many important news because Apple had implemented what was important since the first beta versions. Even without news in the system, I found out that this latest beta version has set as expiration date on October 20, a sign that Apple is not in too much of a hurry with the launch.

Even though almost 3 months have passed since the release of the first beta version of iOS 5 and we have already reached beta version 7, I for one believe that Apple could release iOS 5 only at the end of September or the beginning of October. The reasoning behind this statement lies in the date on which Apple could hold the conference to present the operating system and the iPhone 5 and on the date on which the GM version will be launched. Apple holds product presentation conferences 10-14 days after sending invitations to journalists, and on the day of the product presentation, it also releases the GM version of the operating system. From the release of the GM version to the release of the final version, at least 2 weeks pass, during which the developers test the operating system and report to Apple all the problems encountered.

Considering that it is already September 4 and Apple has not yet sent any invitation for any event, the release of iOS 5 in September is becoming less and less likely. Under these conditions, I believe that the final iOS 5 will be available either in the last days of September or most likely at the beginning of October.
