Al Gore, member of the board of directors of Apple, confirms the launch of the iPhone 5 in October

Al Gore, former US vice-president and member of the board of directors of Apple, announced today that the iPhone 5 terminal will indeed be launched in October. However, the iPhone 5 could be just one of the devices that Apple is preparing now because Al Gore claims that several iPhone terminals will be launched next month. The statement was made by him during a conference in South Africa where he spoke about the launch of several iPhone terminals in October of this year, but we do not know if it is about the iPhone 4S/5 or an iPhone 5 and an 8 model iPhone 4 GB.

Yes, it's completely true that Apple has been saying that it will release iOS 5 and, presumably, new hardware to go along with it, this fall. But this is the first time that any member of the Apple organization, even if it is a Board Member, has made any affirmative statements about the release of its next-gen iPhone.

There is always the possibility that Gore misspoke, of course, or was just making statements based on the rumors that are already out there, but it seems like a pretty big mistake to make at a public conference.

It is interesting that a member of the management board of the Apple company would openly discuss such a topic and claim that new products are to be launched. Considering that this confirmation comes from Al Gore, it is 100% certain that we will have at least one new iPhone terminal available next month, now we just have to find out the date on which it will be released. Today the people of All Things Digital announced that on October 4, the iPhone 5 and iOS 5 presentation conference will take place, now we have to see if their prediction will come true.
