Sony wants to hire Aaron Sorkin for the film about the life of Steve Jobs

Aaron Sorkin is the man who wrote the script for the movie The Social Network, which presents the life of the famous founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Now Sony is trying to convince him to write the script for the upcoming film about the life of Steve Jobs that Sony is preparing to produce in the near future. Although Sorkin did not confirm/deny the rumors regarding the writing of the script for the new film, those from Sony are very interested in concluding an agreement with him considering that The Social Network was a real success.

Sony is moving forward with a Steve Jobs movie based on Isaacson's book. And one of the writers being courted by producers to pen his story, according to a person who was briefed on the project but not authorized to speak about it publicly, is Aaron Sorkin, Hollywood's chronicler-in-chief of the complicated visionary. The "Moneyball" and "Social Network" writer was said by the person to be considering the prospect but had made no decisions. Sony and a Sorkin representative declined to comment on the writer's potential involvement.

The interesting part is that Sorkin had interactions in the past with Steve Jobs, the former CEO of the Apple company asking him to write the script for a movie for the Pixar company. Sorkin refused then saying that he does not think he is able to write a script for such a film and he does not want to make the only weak film in Pixar's portfolio. If Sorkin will write the script for the film about the life of Steve Jobs, then it is very possible that we will have a film similar to The Social Network and I for one can't wait to see it.
