Apple admits before a US court that Samsung would not attract its customers

Last week we told you that Apple failed to obtain a decision to ban the sale of smartphones and tablets from the Galaxy series in the US. An American judge considered that Samsung products do not represent a major risk for Apple and his statement is based on another one of the company's lawyers. During the court hearings, one of Apple's lawyers stated that Samsung will not attract Apple customers with its own products, but will attract other owners of Android terminals.

According to the redacted portions, Apple's own studies show that existing customers are unlikely to switch from iPhones to Samsung devices. Instead, the evidence suggests an increase in sales of Samsung smartphones is likely to come at the expense of other smartphones with Android operating systems, Koh wrote.

Basically, Apple has admitted that it is not afraid of one of the main reasons why Samsung should stop selling products that infringe patents. By making this statement in front of a court and coming with motivations that were probably not solid enough, those from Apple significantly reduced their chances of winning the lawsuit against the Asian company. If we are still in the land of hilarious requests, those from Samsung supported their position saying that Apple alone cannot cover the demand for smartphones on the market and Samsung products should not be banned from sale.

Having said that, interesting things happened in court where this process was discussed and Apple came out the loser.
