redsn0w 0.9.9 beta 9 b,c and d released

The Dev Team has been doing a good job lately and it shows because in just two days the team released not one but 4 different versions of redsn0w 0.9.9 beta 9. The first appeared Monday and brought a lot of news for users, but unfortunately many people complained about the functionality problems of the program. The Dev Team took note of the complaints and solved the problems with the custom ipsw function on Windows, so you can use redsn0w for Windows to make a custom ipsw. However, moving from version b to c and then to d, the Dev Team also solved the problems with the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 3Gs owners and now everything should work correctly.

Update #17b: Version 0.9.9b9b enables the "Custom" button for Windows users, and makes the 3GS week 35 warning a more explicit part of the process.
Update #17c: For those Windows users encountering launch errors due to the self-update check, please use this version instead for now.

Update #17d: iPhone3GS owners in our comments section below noticed a problem with the untethered jailbreak available for the old-bootrom 3GS. We've corrected that problem in 0.9.9b9d. If you have an old-bootrom 3GS and have already used last night's redsn0w on it, you can re-run it again without losing anything. Just use this new version, go to Extras->IPSW and manually select the 5.0.1 IPSW, then go back and Jailbreak it again (but you can uncheck Cydia because it's already installed).

This is still a tethered jailbreak for all except old-bootrom 3GS users.

I let things unfold until the end and now I'm just telling you that redsn0w 0.9.9 beta 9d is available, it does custom ipsw on Windows, it updates itself and does untethered jailbreak on iPhone 3GS but you have to use an ipsw for iOS 5.0.1. 0. You can download redsn0.9.9w 9 beta XNUMXd from here: Windows, Mac. The jailbreak remains tethered for all terminals except iPhone 3GS with old bootrom.
