Video: HzO discusses with Apple the possible treatment of iDevices with a substance that makes them \"resistant\" to water

Last week I talked to you about HzO, a substance presented at CES 2012 that can make any electronic device "resistant" to water. Then I told you that the substance called Waterblock cannot be purchased on the market and an electronic device must be treated by the manufacturer right from the factory and the developers of HzO are in discussions with Apple for the implementation of the substance in future iDevices. Of course, HzO is also talking to other big mobile phone manufacturers and those from Samsung are very interested in the product, so we might see future Android terminals treated with a substance called Waterblock

"We showed the Samsung Chairman the technology with a Samsung Galaxy S that we had coated with HZO and he couldn't believe his eyes," a representative of the company told us. "Samsung is really excited by the technology."

The company has told us that they are also talking to Apple as well, hoping to be able to let Apple make the iPhone 5 waterproof.

I for one believe that Apple could implement this substance only if they found a method by which they could present it as a premium product that would only be found in the company's smartphones and tablets. I don't think that Apple will choose to use Waterblock if Samsung implements it in its own devices, but it remains to be seen how the discussions will proceed.
