Few of us think about the people on the other end of an electronic device when playing a game or having a conversation but sometimes a connection formed through a game it can save a life. game Words with Friends helped save a life when two women were accidentally placed in front of each other in a multiplayer session of the famous title. The two women did not know each other, they lived in different parts of the world, but the connection between them helped save a life.

Blue Springs, Missouri resident Beth Legler started playing -Words with Friends- on her cellphone more than 2 years ago. And that's where she met Georgie and Simon Fletcher From Australia. While playing the game together Fletcher mentioned Simon wasn't feeling well and described some of his symptoms. Beth's husband Larry is a doctor. He immediately diagnosed Simon and made it clear – he needed to get to a hospital. Simon had a 99 percent blockage near his heart. Had they not gotten to the hospital that day, there was a good chance, he would have died.

Beth Legler is a woman from the USA who has been playing Words with Friends on the iPhone for two years and one day she started a multiplayer session and as an opponent she received a woman from Australia. Playing, the two women began to become friends and one day Georgie Fletcher from Australia told Beth Legler about her husband's heart problems. Beth's husband is a doctor and managed to diagnose Simon Fletcher, Georgie's husband, with a heart problem that required an urgent hospital visit, which proved to be a life-saving visit as Simon had a 99% blockage in a the artery around his heart.

"Had Larry not sent that message I don't think Simon would have gone to the doctor that day," Beth says. "I've gotta buy that man a beer, he saved my life...I'd really like to put my arms around him and give him a big squeeze," Simon says. "I didn't have that random opponent all that time ago. I just think Beth and I were meant to meet on this game," says Simon's wife, Georgie Fletcher. "I owe Larry everything...I'm really lucky to be here," admits Simon.

Practically thanks to the game, the two women became friends and the life of one's husband was saved. The same thing can happen in any game on any device and the lesson to be learned is that we should pay more attention to the people we interact with.
