Eddy Cue is one of the vice-presidents of the Apple company that we have heard less about in recent years, and this is because he did not have a very important role in the Apple company, at least apparently. Cue was recently promoted in the position of senior vice-president of the internet and services division of the Apple company and in essence he deals with iTunes with all the adjacent stores, iCloud and iAd. Cue is the man who negotiates all the contracts of the Apple company that are related to iTunes and he was also sent a few years ago by Steve Jobs to negotiate the contracts with AT&T for the iPhone terminal, an extremely important task. Seeing in Eddy Cue a man capable of solving almost any problem, Steve Jobs appointed him to "repair" the MobileMe service initially launched a few years ago and received with not much applause by customers.
At the moment, Eddy Cue supervises the entire Internet division of Apple and leads the teams that deal with digital stores, iCloud and iAd, and at tomorrow's event in New York it is very possible to see him present on stage. Eddy Cue is not the right man for a CEO position at Apple, as in the case of Forstall, but we are talking about a vice president capable of solving any problem and negotiating extremely profitable contracts for the company from Cupertino.
