Here's how you can automatically add apps, movies and music to the iTunes library

iTunes is the program that most Mac owners use to copy applications, movies and music to their iDevices. Apple designed the entire system to work through iTunes and without the help of this program copying applications, movies and music to iDevices is quite difficult but not impossible. To ease the process of adding files to iTunes, Apple has created a specially named folder Automatically Add to iTunes which allows users to add songs directly to iTunes by simply copying them to that folder.

Basically navigate on your Mac to Users/user/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media, right click on the folder Automatically Add to iTunes and select the Make Alias option. Copy the new folder to your desktop and when you save an application, a movie or a song in it, it will be automatically inserted into iTunes on your Mac.
