iPad 3 – a nightmare for grandparents

Last week I told you that hundreds of iPad tablets are returning to Apple stores because the dealers in China and around the world are unable to sell them with the profit they used to get in the past years. The culprits are the simultaneous launch in many countries around the world, but also the Chinese government, which included the iPad tablet on a list of electronic devices that have customs duties of 10% of the product's value. That's not all because the Chinese government warned transport companies not to bring iPad tablets to China and everything stopped here. Those from Reuters they analized in detail the problem and they discovered that although an iPad tablet purchased for $550 in the USA could cost $1000 in China, for the grandparents the profit would be too small. The launch of iPad 3 in Hong Kong from the very first day drastically reduced the need to resell tablets from Europe/USA in that country or even in China, and many of those who bought them in those locations took them back to Apple stores.

It was normal for everything to come to an end because in the past years, Chinese businessmen, and not only, bought the product stocks of Western countries to send them to China, they caused discomfort for Apple customers and even started fights in front of the company's stores . Although the new iPad tablet is not the company's most desired gadget, it is hard to believe that in the future Apple will not be able to produce enough iPhone terminals or tablets to stop the phenomenon of reselling its products at far too high prices.
