iPad 3 - "problems" with the screen and hundreds of complaints on Apple's discussion forums

The image above explains very clearly the underlying reason this thread in which hundreds of people complain about a "problem" with the iPad tablet screen. Most users claim that the screen displays images that have a yellowish tinge and of course no one knows what is the reason behind this "problem", but Apple changes all tablets whose screens look like the one above. Some claim that they changed no less than 13 tablets and did not reach one that did not have the "problem", others would have given up after only 3 changes, but it seems that the current units available in the USA have the same type of screen.

Ok, so I'm on my 13th iPad. In fairness, one of those was because I decided I wanted a different color, and another one I decided I wanted to upgrade to one with 4G. 3 were returned right away in the store (scratches, dark blotches behind the screen). A couple were super yellow, one had over a dozen dead pixels, and one even had the bottom half of the screen turn baby blue! I too am having the same issue. I couldn't wait to get it out of the box and compare it to my son's iPad 2. While I think the 3 is crisper looking, pages that should be clean white are washed out and yellow. I just went to check out the 3rd Gen iPad they have on display from a nearby apple reseller and clearly my yellowish tinted iPad is defective. I am definitely going to return this to the store tomorrow and get my refund back.

The reality is that this "problem" is not actually a problem because this is how the tablet screen is built. On my tablets, the difference between iPad 2 and iPad 3 is close to the one in the image above, although the screen of the new tablet displays slightly more "open" images than the one presented at the beginning of the article. Most of the iPad 3 tablets that I have seen presented through videos on the Internet look exactly the same and some say that this apparent "discoloration" is related to the adhesive used to stick the screen and that in time the "problem" will be solved, but even if things are not fixed, changing the tablet does not guarantee solving the "problem".
