Twitter tried to buy the Camera+ app

Camera + is one of the best and most popular applications that allow us to take pictures using our own iDevices and Twitter tried to buy the company that developed it. Discussions regarding a possible acquisition took place shortly after Facebook has purchased the famous Instagram application, an application that Twitter tried to buy but failed. The developers of Tap Tap Tap they refused the offer from Twitter because they did not want to move their headquarters to San Francisco, where Twitter is active, and so the negotiations stopped as quickly as they started.

Twitter executives held several meetings with Camera+ developer Tap Tap Tap, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the talks were private. The talks broke down before Twitter could make an offer because the startup's far-flung workforce was reluctant to relocate to San Francisco, they said. While 10 employees are already based there, Tap Tap Tap has 20 others in Austria, New Zealand, Spain and elsewhere.

If Twitter had acquired Camera+ then things would have become extremely interesting, but since this did not happen we are left with Instagram owned by Facebook and with a very good Camera+ application, but under the patronage of the same developer company.
