Google will launch a Game Center for Android

More than a year ago, Apple launched the Game Center platform for users, which allows us to publish game scores in a social network made by Apple, but it also allows us to initiate games with other iDevice owners and soon with Mac owners. Seeing that Apple's platform is so successful, Google intends to clone them system on the Android platform with the idea of bringing a similar experience to its users.

Google is working on a native Android app similar to Game Center, an app on the iPhone that connects players in most of Apple's iOS games, according to a source familiar with the plans. Google's software will include a social "achievement" system, which gives people awards and trophies for doing certain things in games. It will also include a leaderboard which will rank players against their friends, our source told us.

It was expected that Google would "borrow" the idea from Apple at some point because the system is good and because Google knows how to take everything good from others. From what has been said so far about the Google system, it seems that it will have almost the same functions as Game Center, but I hope that Google will also implement chat/video chat options, options that Game Center does not have.
