The rest of the top smartphones have sensors of the same size, but Nokia has included one large enough to place its smartphone in first place in at least one category.
Regarding the comparison with Canon EOS 5D Mark III si Canon PowerShot S100, the iPhone 4S has a tiny sensor, but it does its job with dignity. Of course, the iPhone 4S is not even in the same league as these DSLRs, but this way you can get an idea about the real difference between the image sensors of these cameras. Even if a DSLR will always take better pictures, the best camera is the one you always have with you, and the iPhone wins in 90% of cases.
