In iOS, Apple included an application called Voice Memos, which allows you to record anything you want using the microphone included in your iDevice. The application saves all recordings in its own library, you do not have the possibility to open them in other applications, but you have the option of sharing them by email to have them available on a computer. For those who want to have the recordings even in the iPod application in iOS, there has been one for some time tweak named iPod Memos which allows you to automatically transfer recordings to the Music application in iOS.
The tweak adds a button called Add to iPod next to each recording, its functionality can only be disabled by uninstalling it from Cydia, the installation is free.
