More than a week now Apple announced that it sold 5 million iPhone 5 terminals in just 3 days and said that 100 million iDevices have installed iOS 6. Apple did not provide details for this statement, but those from Chitika I follow the phenomenon and say that at the moment more than half of the active iPhones are running iOS 6. The figure is high and does not apply to iPad tablets where we are talking about an adoption rate of 45%, and if we look at iPods, then the adoption rate drops to only 39%.
It is impressive that in just two weeks many iDevice owners have installed iOS 6, this being the fastest adoption of a new version of iOS and of course the Software Update system is the one that determined it. Probably by the end of the month the numbers will reach 70-80%, in the case of iPhones, 55-65% in the case of iPad tablets and maybe 50% in the case of iPods.
