Shortly after the launch iPhone 5 I wrote this article in which I told you that some owners of this device complained about the appearance of intermittent lines and "artifacts" on the device's keyboard. Of course, the problem was annoying, some probably changed their terminals, others kept them, no matter what the situation, it is clear that Apple is working on solving it. Although Apple is investigating the problem, those from TNW they have two theories that explain why these problems appear on the screen and neither of them is based on any problem of the terminal screen iPhone 5, but problems with iOS 6.

We start first with the artifacts that appear only on certain graphic elements of the keyboard or other applications, and since they do not appear continuously on the screen, it is clear that the problem is not directly related to it, but to the software installed in it. The theory behind the appearance of these artifacts is related to some corrupt graphics that are displayed incorrectly by iOS, and this could be true, considering that the problem does not appear everywhere. The explanation according to which seems plausible iOS 6 it would have certain graphic elements corrupted and when it tries to display them, it displays those artifacts instead, and an update of the operating system could solve the problem. The direct connection between iOS and the graphic processor would be the basis of the wrong reading of the graphic elements and it remains to be seen if it can be corrected by Apple or not.

The second problem is related to the appearance of intermittent lines on the keyboard and here things are a bit more complicated. In iOS 6, Apple made some important changes and if until now the Springboard loads the keyboard and the text box for entering passwords, starting from September things have changed. The old method was ineffective, Apple used it because it had no alternatives, but in iOS 6 it separated those two elements into two services and this could generate the appearance of flashing lines on the keyboard. Considering that the Springboard loads the keyboard, and another service the password input box, those flashing lines would also be displayed due to system programming errors, and a software update should solve the problem without much effort.

On the Apple forums, users would have confirmed that Apple knows about the existence of problems and that a software update would solve them, but it remains to be seen when it will be available.
