Apple begins accepting donations for the Red Cross following the disaster caused by Hurricane Sandy

Last night, Apple published a special page in iTunes that allows users to make donations to the Red Cross, which helps people affected by Hurricane Sandy. Apple says that the entire amount donated by users through this system will go directly to Red Cross, the company eliminating the $40 commission it normally charges. Unfortunately, for now the donation page is only accessible through the US App Store, but in the coming days we should also see it in our App Store.

If you have an account in the US App Store you can access it donation page following this link.
