AppRights is the name given to a proposed legislative initiative change the way Americans use their applications for mobile terminals, and those changes will also reflect on us. An American congressman wants applications for mobile terminals to ask for users' permission to retrieve any kind of information from the terminals, which is not exactly happening now. However, the big change is not here, because the law will oblige developers to explain to users how and where the data taken from them will be used, and users would have the option to delete that data whenever they want.

Although the legislation is beneficial for users, advertisers and developers will fight so that it is not adopted and it is hard to say if we will see it on the table of the US president in the coming years. The problem is that the changes that will take place in the US will also affect the whole world because most of the developers are based there, and Apple must make iOS according to American rules. Regardless of the decision that will be taken in relation to this law, it is still far from entering into force.
