In Cydia there are a few tweak-s that allow us to generate empty spaces in the Springboard of iDevices and some users use them to stylize the main screen of their own terminals. In this idea, a web application was also developed which, theoretically, allow exactly the same thing, but it doesn't do a 100% perfect job. pickup is the name of this web application, in the video clip above you can see its functionality, but unfortunately you should not expect excellent results, because it will not give you them.

To use pickup and make empty spaces in the Springboard of your iDevice, you must follow the steps below and it doesn't matter what kind of iDevice you have.

Press and hold an application icon until the delete/move module is activated, swipe until you reach an empty Springboard page and simultaneously press the Home + Lock buttons to take a screenshot.

  1. Download the Pickup application from the App Store following this link.
  2. Open Safari and navigate to this link.
  3. Press the button Upload a photo, you will see an alert message asking if you want to open the page in Picup, and you choose the Open option.
  4. Scroll down, and in the Sources category choose Photo Library.
  5. Navigate to the folder where you took the screenshot and choose it to be uploaded, then press the button Upload Files.
  6. After finishing the upload and reopening Safari, scroll to the bottom of the page and press the button Let's go.
  7. The website will automatically generate the set of icons corresponding to your wallpaper, each of them having an exact position on the screen.
  8. To download each icon individually, click on it, and in the newly opened page, press the third button from the Safari menu bar and choose the Add to Home Screen option.

After selecting that option, you will have the icon placed in the Springboard and you will be able to move it just like any other icon there. You must repeat step 9 for each individual icon, everything being done with the help of Safari. Although the method is complicated and the results are not 100% perfect, you still have at your disposal an interesting utility that can help you stylize your HomeScreen.
