Morning I told you that Apple TV 3,2 appeared in a series of documents published by the American federal agency FCC, that it would be smaller than the current product and that it would have the chip A5X from iPad 3. An Apple spokesperson confirmed the update to be released for Apple TV, but he mentioned that it is a minor update, which will only bring a few new internal components, the dimensions of the device remaining the same. The information coming from Apple contradicts that of the FCC, but the implementation of an A5X chip seems to be confirmed.
We sometimes make component changes which require an updated model number for regulatory approval. The component changes we made do not affect product features and Apple TV customers will continue to have the same great user experience.
The new version of Apple TV 3 will not be promoted as such, and although Apple claims that users will have the same experience, the truth is that the new version of the product will have a significantly superior face to that of Apple TV 3,1 and many will feel the differences. Apple has not mentioned when Apple TV 3,2 will arrive on the market and we will find out only when the first units are delivered to customers and the sales codes are verified.
