Pegatron will start manufacturing a cheap iPhone with a plastic case, starting in May

Yesterday I told you that Apple is going to launch a Cheap iPhone during this summer, and now we learn that the device would follow to go into production at Pegatron starting in May. The terminal would have a plastic casing, would be available in several colors and would have a selling price of only $350, that is, lower than the price at which the terminal would be sold iPhone 5 after launch iPhone 5S. Pegatron is an Apple partner that also produces other iDevices, and its choice to produce this device is logical, as it will reach the market in the third fiscal quarter of 2013.

Introducing a cheap iPhone on the market is logical, especially if the price will be low enough, and the materials and design will not matter that much, because we are not talking about a premium product. So far, the launch of the product seems to be quite certain, and if the production will really start in May, then the terminal should reach the market by autumn.
