Peter Oppenheimer is the CFO, Chief Financial Officer, of the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, and in 2012 ranked on the first place in the list of the best paid CFOs in the USA. The Apple employee received shares worth no less than 68.6 million dollars this year, they can be sold in a few years when they will probably be worth more or less. Oppenheimer was followed in a Bloomberg list by Safra Catz, CFO of Oracle, who received compensation worth $51.7 million and Patrick Pichette, CFO of Google, who received compensation worth $38.7 million.
It is perfectly normal for large American companies to offer such high compensations to people who generate hundreds of billions of dollars in revenue annually, this practice keeping those employees on the payroll of those companies.
