BlackBerry Messenger will not be available for iPad from launch day, it will only work on iOS 6

Yesterday the Canadian company BlackBerry officially announced the launch of the application BlackBerry Messenger for iOS and Android OS platforms, thus ending the exclusivity of the entire platform. Even if the application will give iDevice owners access to the infrastructure BBM, unfortunately the application will not be developed in a universal version, 100% compatible with the tablet iPad. Even if the application will not work natively on the iPad, you will be able to install and use it anyway by running it in 2x mode, the experience not being excellent, but good enough until a suitable application is released.

At this point it is iOS and Android, and that's iOS phones running iOS 6 and higher. Smartphone is our real focus and again it comes back to what BBM is. If you look at BBM and the engagement and the activity, it's because it's mobile, because people are on the go.

Separately from the information regarding the iPad tablet, I will tell you that BBM for iOS it will only work on iOS 6 si iOS 7, so if you have a lower version of iOS you will have to update, otherwise you will not be able to use the BlackBerry application.
