In the WWDC 2013 Tim Cook announced that 575 million Apple IDare registered with the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, 25 million less than the total number of iDevices sold worldwide. According to the novel Horace Dediu, Asymco analyst, almost 1 million Apple IDs are registered every two days, the approximation being made based on the information provided by the Apple company. The registrations of these Apple IDs concern all environments for which such an account is needed on Apple's servers, so we are not limited only to a certain type of product for which it can be used.
Most registered Apple IDs also have credit cards attached, Tim Cook claims that Apple has more such accounts than any other online store on the Internet, and that says a lot about what the company from Cupertino has created.
