TweakWeek is a project initiated last year by the famous developer Ryan Petrich, then 65 tweakbeing developed and offered free of charge to users. The idea behind the project is to challenge skilled developers to develop open source tweaks for us. The entire development process of a tweak must take place on the day of release, the tweak can be downloaded and used for free by users after its publication in a repo of Cydia.
Because the project was so successful, Petrich challenges developers to participate TweakWeek 2 this year, with over 20 developers already registered. Considering the large number of participants, Petrich estimates that in the end new tweaks could be developed for 5 months, but it remains to be seen whether the developer will be right or not. TweakWeek 2 will start after the publication of a solution of jailbreak for iOS 7, so we will have something to look forward to.
