SBDocument allows us to generate in the Homescreen shortcuts for the documents available in iDevices

SBDocument is a tweak launched last night in Cydia, and with its help we can insert shortcuts for the documents already available in the terminals in the Homescreen of our iDevices. Shortcuts can be generated for Word, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers documents, for video clips, songs or even images. The application generates a web server and allows files to be transferred via WiFi, they being opened automatically using the viewing module available in the application. To add a shortcut to the Homescreen, you just have to choose your favorite document, an icon (including an image from the Camera Roll) and it will be listed in the Home Screen.

SBDocument lets you create direct springboard icons for most popular file types, such as Word, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers, Videos, Music and Pictures. The files will open using SBDocument's built in viewer or you can specify it to prompt you or create a custom URL (advanced). SBDocument features a Wi-Fi file server, so you can directly upload files to your device's Documents folder, and then select the file from there. Just point your browser to the URL displayed at the top of the SDDocument window. There is also the ability to select a custom URL scheme including the full document path and name where the [doc] parameter is. This will allow you to open the file with any app that supports a URL scheme. For example, if you wanted to document file to open with iFile your URL would be: ifile://[doc]. The custom URL option should make for a lot of creative things to be done!

All your documents must have the right extension to be accessed and viewed by your iDevices, without a recognized extension, the application will not be able to do everything that its developer promises to do. Apart from these, the application also allows the generation of a personalized set of URLs that allows you to direct to various documents and open them with any other application available in your iDevices. SBDocuments is compatible with all iDevices running iOS 4.3 – iOS 6, and in Cydia you can find it in the repo ModMyi.
