Apple vs Samsung - here is the final amount awarded as compensation

Last week I told you that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), won a lawsuit filed Samsung in the USA and a jury awarded him damages of 119 million dollars, despite the fact that the Americans demanded 2 billion dollars for infringing their own patents. The initial verdict was not final because the jury decided that a terminal infringes patents, but did not determine the damages to be awarded for it. Recalculating today the damages awarded based on this verdict, the jury redistributed the amounts of some devices and established that the initial amount of 119.6 million dollars will remain the final amount.

This amount will most likely be contested by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and then by Samsung by appeal and appeal, so in the end no one knows how much the two companies will receive, Apple being obliged to pay $158.000 to Samsung for infringing some Korean technologies. Although Apple received less than 5% of what it initially requested, its victory proves once again that Samsung intentionally copied the technologies of the American company, and based on this the final amount could be tripled by the judge.
