Apple has sold a record number of songs through the iTunes Store

  As part of the discussions of the Code conference that started last evening, the vice president Apple, Eddy Cue, provided some details regarding the sales evolution iTunes Store. According to Cue, iTunes StoreCPC has sold no less than 35 billion songs in its entire existence, no less than 10 billion purchases being recorded in the last 12 months and a half days.

  This record figure was reached thanks to the 800 million customers that the company has Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has them registered for its online services, more than half of them having credit cards attached to their accounts. Completing this information, Eddy Cue claims that iTunes Radio has no less than 40 million iDevice users who use it monthly, the service being offered free of charge.

  The 250.000 subscribers will be added to this list of users the recently acquired company Beats, the latter paying for audio streaming services.
