In the WWDC 2014 Tim Cook offered some interesting details about the year iDevices had, making some quite interesting comments about the terminals Android. During the last 12 months over 130 million of those who bought an iDevice actually bought their first products Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, the figure being enormous and representing approximately one third of the total number of iDevices sold.
Over 130 million customers who bought an iOS device in the past 12 months were buying their first Apple device. Many of these customers were switchers from Android. They had bought an Android phone — by mistake. Then I had sought a better experience... And a better life. And decided to check out iPhone and iOS. Nearly half of our customers in China in the past six months switch from Android to iPhone. This is incredible.
More interesting is that many of those who bought an iDevice in the last 12 months made the switch from a terminal Android, Tim Cook arguing that they bought those devices by mistake and in the idea of improving their lives they switched to iOS. Although we are not talking about the vast majority of them, we are still talking about an important number and the more interesting thing is that half of those who bought an iPhone in China came from an Android terminal.
Basically, Apple claims that it managed to convince many owners of Android terminals to buy an iPhone last year, perhaps for the first time, and think what impact it will have iPhone 6 with 4.7 inch screen.
