iPhone 6 – Apple confirms the launch again!

On Monday I told you that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has launched Xcode 6 for developers of applications for the iOS platform, and the new software confirms without a doubt that iPhone 6 with 4.7 inch screen or iPhone 6 with 5.5 inch screen will be released. Today we have a new confirmation of this, coming both from the documentation published by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, but also from the explanations given by the company's employees during the sessions held at WWDC 2014 with the developers.

Developers at WWDC told me that adaptive display is new this year, and that it does just what Android does: scales up vector assets so that they will fit a screen of undetermined size. That should mean that when Apple introduces one or more phones with larger screens, there won't be a long pause while developers resize icons and so on to take advantage of it, as happened with the introduction of the iPhone 5 in 2012.

Talking to the developers present at WWDC 2014, those from The Guardian they managed to find out like new Xcode 6 allows the development of adaptive applications for multiple screen resolutions of iPhones and iPad tablets. According to the explanations Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, this system works in a similar way to that of Android, scaling the graphic elements to display them as well as possible on screens with different diagonals and resolutions.

Practically using this system Apple will ensure that the applications launched for iPhone 6 they will work on the new big screen in an acceptable manner until the developers can update their applications with the new graphics. UIAdaptivePresentationControllerDelegate control this new system of iOS 8 and using it developers will ensure that their titles will be usable from the fall on iPhone 6.

According to the information that has appeared so far, iPhone 6 is going to contain one 4.7 inch screen with a resolution of 1704 x 960 pixels, much larger than the current one. At the moment, Apple has two resolutions for the iPhone and two for the iPad, but from autumn 5 will be available, and the new system will be fully useful.
